This absolutely show-stopping gorgeous 1961 Corvette Convertible is fresh from a very nice body-off restoration, and is ready to show. Paint is new, and is in very nice condition with a deep shine. Convertible top is brand new and in excellent condition; auxiliary hardtop is in very nice conidition as well. Front and rear bumpers have been rechromed, and are in very nice condition. Taillights are new and excellent, as is the weatherstripping. Door handles are also new and look great as well. This 1961 Corvette Convertible wears original hubcaps in good unrestored condition. Tires are radial whitewall with 9/32nds tread remaining. The interior of this car features many new components as well, including seat covers, door panels, and carpet. Both the carpeted section and the polished section on the door panels looks to be in particularly nice condition as well, as these two areas frequently require attention on original straight axle cars. Original unrestored gauges are in good condition, as is the ashtray. A wooden rim has been added to the original steering wheel, which is in good condition, and a Hurst shifter has been added as well, in addition to a Custom Auto Sound AM/FM/Cassette stereo in the original mounting location. The 283ci engine in this 1961 Corvette Convertible shows a correct casting number for a 1961 Corvette Convertible, but a blank stamp pad. A polished Carter AFB carburetor has been installed, as well as a GM intake manifold that would be correct for a 1963-64 Corvette with a Carter carburetor. Ignition shielding is in place, as are correct hose clamps. The engine compartment and frame on this car are both super clean, with the frame being solid and rust-free. This is a very unusual and unique factory color on a very nicely restored Corvette, call us before someone snatches this one up!
