Starting with a 1985 Corvette subframe, this classic roadster features front disc brakes and rack and pinion steering, and a more modern 3 speed automatic transmission as well. Needless to say, this car does NOT drive like your average straight axle Corvette! Starting with a relatively nice body, this car was built in the late 1990s, and still looks fresh. The single stage paint on this car is still in very nice condition with a deep shine, and the convertible top is still in very good condition as well, with no major flaws to speak of. Taillights are in very good condition with no cracks, and weatherstripping is in very good condition as well. Chrome bumpers were redone when the car was built, and are in very nice condition, in addition to the exterior door handles. Stainless trim looks great with no obvious pitting or other major flaws. A set of 15 inch American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels have been added, featuring gray spokes and a polished lip. These wheels are in very good condition, and wear radial blackwall tires with 5/32nds tread remaining in the front, and 9/32nds remaining in the rear. The interior of this 1958 Corvette Pro Touring Convertible was completely redone at the time of the build, and features a smaller diameter steering wheel with correct style spokes and a padded rim. Gauges, door panels, seat covers, and dash pads are all in very nice shape as they are only as old as the build. An Alpine CDM-7857 CD stereo has been added in place of the original AM radio. This beauty really shines under the hood, showing Hooker Super Comp stainless steel headers, Mallory distributor, aluminum valve covers and radiator, billet aluminum pulleys, and electric fans. This setup is topped off with an Edelbrock intake and 2x4 bbl Edelbrock carburetors. A shift kit has been installed for firmer transmission shifts; the 7.5 inch rear-end is sourced from a late model S10. Frame is clean, straight, and rust and corrosion-free.
